CHANGE IS IN THE AIR!
NEW PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MEETING LOCATION & TIME

As part of the effort to continue to build the Dallas Section and continue to offer value the Leadership team has voted to move the monthly meeting to a new location. It was felt that this new location was more central for the Dallas membership and that the new hotel would provide a higher quality service than we had previously experienced. In accordance with this decision the monthly meeting has been moved to the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 14315 Midway Rd, Addison TX 75001. In addition, to accomodate people's schedules and drive times the meeting start time will start later (see below for schedule). The Dallas Section will continue to subsidize the monthly meeting, however with the change in venue and the higher quality being provided, it is also necessary to increase the dinner cost for Dallas members to $25.00.

The new meeting schedule will be:
6:00 - 6:30 pm Tutorial
6:45 - 7:45 pm Dinner
7:45 - 8:45 pm Dinner Speaker
8:45 - 9:00 pm Q&A / Wrap up

Carter BloodCare Tour
February 10th, 2012; 2 - 4 pm

Carter BloodCare was founded in 1998 by the merger of two local blood centers and Carter BloodCare is the largest blood center in Texas. In April of 2007, Carter BloodCare announced a merger with Tyler-based Stewart Regional Blood Center. Together, they provide more than 330,000 units of lifesaving blood to North Central and East Texas each year! Carter BloodCare's highest priority is meeting the needs of the community. On this tour you will see exactly what being part of something great is all about.

Elected officer positions are: Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer.

Nominations must be received by the end of February 2012 for review LT on March 8.
If you are interested in serving, or wish to nominate someone, you must present a petition signed by 10 members in good standing, The candidate must be a current member of ASQ.

There is a project underway to develop a new website, additional tours are being scheduled for the 2011-2012 year and an exciting program being developed for our monthly meetings.
