Shannon Craddock (Clarke) received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan.  Ms. Craddock has also received a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health Sciences and Radiation Biology from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.  During her graduate school years, Ms. Craddock served as a graduate student instructor for the Department of Biology.  Ms. Craddock instructed undergraduate students in the areas of cancer biology, molecular biology, human biology, and plant biology.

Ms. Craddock served as the Environmental Coordinator for the University of Michigan School of Public Health Partnership to Control Asthma in Public Schools Project.  She recommended environmental improvements in fifteen Detroit elementary schools, helped to design and taught an environmental and health-based curriculum, and worked on developing a bilingual website and video on asthma for classroom use.

Ms. Craddock was also a research assistant at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.  Ms. Craddock's research and Masters Thesis was in the area of DNA damage and repair and p53 induction.  Her work won her a Superior Student Researcher Award at the Radiation Research Society's annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998.

In addition, Ms. Craddock was a member of the University of Michigan School of Public Health Risk Management Group.  Here, Ms. Craddock worked on policy recommendations to dispose of lead-based paint contaminated waste, establishing a licensing and registration program for lead workers, and implementing a blood lead level screening program for Michigan children.

Ms. Craddock also worked at the Health Media Research Laboratory.  In this capacity, her writing skills were put to use in composing tailored health messages for magazines sent to people interested in smoking cessation and other areas of cancer prevention.  She also conducted qualitative research on public reactions to interactive health kiosks, including face-to-face interview and focus groups.

After receiving her Master of Science degree, Ms. Craddock was hired by Perry Johnson as a Consultant, Trainer, and Lead Auditor.  Ms. Craddock excelled in each of these positions and was consequently promoted to Consultant Training Coordinator in January 1999.  In this position, Ms. Craddock served as a mentor for all new U.S. and Japan based consultants and developed training materials to help these consultants.  Ms. Craddock was promoted to the position of Consultant Manager in September 1999, which allowed her to use her management and leadership skills more effectively.  During her tenure at this firm, Ms. Craddock consulted a number of automotive suppliers and helped them to achieve QS 9000:1998 certification.  Ms. Craddock has also provided consulting and training services for a number of high-profile companies such as Roadway Express, the U.S. Department of Commerce in Phoenix, the U.S. Commercial & Foreign Service in London, the United States Olympic Committee Drug Control Administration, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, and the International Anti-Doping Arrangement.

Since October 2001, Ms. Craddock has worked as an independent contractor.  Her guidance has resulted in the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) becoming the first anti-doping organization in the world to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification and ISO/PAS 18873:1999 compliance.  Ms. Craddock was also a contractor for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Department of Sports Medicine prior to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, auditing nutritional supplement suppliers sponsored by the USOC.  Ms. Craddock was also contracted by the Doping Control Center of Taiwan/Tzu Chi University to lead their ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation efforts.

In April 2002, Ms. Craddock began working with Collins & Aikman (C&A), a large Tier One automotive supplier.  Her initial duties included managing the implementation of QS 9000:1998 during the consolidation of five facilities into one, each with a different quality system and corporate culture.  She has been involved with the implementation of C&A’s lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Changeover, Visual Factory and Kanban.  After successfully achieving QS 9000:1998 certification, Ms. Craddock championed C&A’s ISO/TS 16949:2002 implementation efforts.  Certification was achieved after only six months.  Ms. Craddock has also managed the ISO 14001:1996 internal audit program, Q1-2002 compliance efforts and most recently, the ISO/IEC 17025:1999 accreditation effort.  In addition, Ms. Craddock was involved with strategic visits to C&A’s Canadian Operations with the goal of internal audit program development and process improvement.

In June 2004, Ms. Craddock accepted the position of Program Manager at Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc.  Her primary responsibilities include management of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety and food safety audit programs as well as training and development of international operations and auditors.
