Chair's Message - Kiami Rogers
It has been a sincere pleasure serving you this past fiscal year. We hope you have enjoyed our programs, raffles, and new membership welcome packets.
Our Vision: The Dallas ASQ Section 1402 is the leader of quality and performance excellence for the Dallas area.
Our Mission: It is our Mission to provide the information, forums, certifications, and networking that enhances members’ value.
If you did not attend the May PD meeting you missed out on:
- Celebrating the award of two $1500 scholarships to: Amanda Ellis and Rachel Skelton (Please read on in the newsletter to view pictures of the recipients);
- Receiving one of two registrations for the 7-day cruise, the “Seminar at Sea” valued at up to $1000 each (You can view a picture of the recipients at: Cruise Drawing Winners);
- Receiving a registration to the 2008 Quality Texas Quest for Excellence Conference valued at up to $500.
Come join us on the cruise! We are pleased to co-host, with other ASQ organizations and the Quality Texas Foundation, a “Seminar at Sea” on Carnival Cruise line. This 7-day cruise has port stops at Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Cozumel. So MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the last week of October in 2008, bring your family and come celebrate Quality Month with us! The deadline for the reserved rate is quickly approaching – rates will increase this week due to high gas prices! In particular please note the upcoming 2008 Quality Texas Quest for Excellence Conference hosted at hosted at Horseshoe Bay Resort on June 16-18. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige and Texas Award for Performance Excellence. Again, it has been a pleasure serving you this past fiscal year. We hope you have enjoyed your experience with the Dallas Section ASQ and received more value in your membership. This year we stepped out of the box and tried some of YOUR suggestions such as: having a profession development meeting on a different day/time, having a joint meeting with Ft. Worth, hosting a workshop, changing hotels, partnering on the cruise, defining smaller (more manageable) roles and responsibilities for volunteers, and raffling door prizes including books and conference registrations. We are certain there are more improvement opportunities. Since my term as Chair officially ends on June 30th, I invite you to email Incoming Chair, Marion Bize, at marion.bize@alcatel-lucent.com with your suggestions.
