Chair's Message - Marion Bize - November, 2008
We just returned from our first ‘Seminar at Sea’ cruise and it was a great experience for all. We had 11 Dallas Section members and their guests (a total of 24 for Dallas) take advantage of the opportunity to attend a 3-day seminar while also spending some relaxing time on a cruise. In addition to receiving RUs for seminar participation and enjoying some recreation while in port, we also got to know each other a little better. Discussions are already underway for another cruise! - It is time to start thinking about the scholarship if you have a family member planning to apply. Also, we need a few members to participate on the committee to review the scholarship applications; contact Scholarship Chair Seshu Pabbisetty at svpabbisetty@yahoo.com . The application deadline is February 28, 2009.
I hope you will consider volunteering with the Dallas Section, whether you can spend a lot of time or only a little time each month. Volunteering with the Section is a great way to meet people, gain leadership experience and earn Recertification Units at the same time. Please visit this link to view open positions or contact me at marion.bize@alcatel-lucent.com to find out which committees need members.
One of our goals is to continually improve by implementing suggestions from our members. We always welcome input from you. Please email me at marion.bize@alcatel-lucent.com with your suggestions.
Our Vision: The Dallas ASQ Section 1402 is the leader of quality and performance excellence for the Dallas area.
