Message from Incoming Chair - Fred Martin
Hello fellow ASQ Dallas Section members. I will soon begin my tenure as the Section Chair. I look forward to working with the membership in my new role. The section is strong and beneficial to many ASQ members. With your assistance the section can have a greater impact in the Dallas area. I need every members support in promoting Our Vision is to be the leader of Quality and Performance Excellence for the Dallas area.
Thanks to Marion Bize for serving as Section Chair. Indeed thanks to the entire Leadership Team and all of volunteers for working together for a great year. We have a great group of volunteers and they are a pleasure to work with. There are several factors that motivate people to volunteer for ASQ, factor such as increasing knowledge, a desire to give back, opportunity to network and others factor, I encourage our section members to consider becoming a volunteer.
We need the ASQ members to share their secrets of success and lesson learns with the Education, Business, Healthcare and Quality Professionals in the Dallas area. How can you do this? For example, you can do this with your presence at the Professional Development Meetings, by joining the Leadership Team, by volunteering for a committee, by presenting a paper and many other avenues. The Dallas Section is made of Quality People; people are the special ingredient that will make the ASQ Dallas Section a center for excellence.
The Leadership Team will be busy this summer planning for the 2009/2010 calendar year. If you have new ideas, energy, organizational skills, and the desire to volunteer please contact me via email. Have a great summer.
