Meet the New Chair-Elect - Joe Sepulveda
Joe is starting his new two-year committment to the Dallas Section as the incoming Chair-Elect. Some of you may know Joe from his previous section positions. If you don't, his bio is below.

Joe is a Certified R6Sigma Expert, as well as a Certified Knowledge Champion for Raytheon. Joe works closely with other organizations such as APQC, American Productivity Quality Center (APQC) to leverage their best practices and processes to bring them to Raytheon. Joe has been leading and facilitating with many “one-company” initiatives and is the Raytheon Six Sigma Expert for the Corporate Performance Excellence Council as well as the Enterprise Lead in the Automated Identification Technology Team (that includes both UID and RFID Technology) . He has served on Industry Advisory Group Boards with GIDEP in the 90’s during the Perry Directive and continues to push the forefront of Quality with Lean Six Sigma and the “Factory of the Future” today at Raytheon.
Joe received his BS Eng Mgmt/ME at the University of Missouri – Rolla (UMR) in 1981 followed by an MBA-Business at Amberton University in 1991 and then a MS Supply Chain Managemment – University of San Diego (USD) in 2001.
Joe has been a continuous member of ASQ since February of 2005 and holds a CQE (#51172-Certified Quality Engineer) as well as a CQM/OE (#11408-Certified Quality Manager for Organizational Excellence) and is preparing for his CSSBB in Oct 2009. Joe currently serves as the Dallas ASQ Certification Chair for the past year and a half. Joe became a Senior Member of ASQ in January 2008 and is also a member of the Toastmasters Club No 9214 with the attainment of his Competent Communicator (CC) status.
Outside of work, Joe has a family with his wife Susan of 25 years, who is an RN Nursing Manager as well as a daughter Melissa, who is also an RN at the same hospital along with a son, Michael who will be a senior in High School and a 2-year letterman in football for Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas. Lastly mentioned but surely not the least, Joe has a wonderfully spirited grand-daughter Lily whom he spoils rotten.
Joe enjoys playing competitive soccer and refereeing as well as running and traveling. He also loves to play the piano, read, garden and spend time with the family traveling to far-away places. Joe is an loyal and avid Cardinals baseball and Rams football fan as well as a long-time St. Louis Blues hockey and Mizzou college football fan.
